Sometimes He Has To Hurt Us
On May 12, 1998, a Norfolk-Southern train was moving through a residential area of Lafayette, Indiana, at 24 miles per hour. The conductor, Robert Mohr, spotted an object on the tracks roughly a city block away. Engineer Rod Lindley thought it was a dog on the tracks. But Mohr’s sight was keener. He screamed, “That’s a baby!”
