Prayer Requests
Do you ever have a burden too hurtful or embarrassing to share with anyone but God, and yet you would like for someone to pray with you? If that is your situation, the prayer team would like to uphold you in prayer.
You will notice a little white church on the small table near the piano. Beside it are some slips of paper. If you have a prayer request that you do not want to go on the Link or to be mentioned, write it on the slip of paper and put it in the slot at the top of the box. You do not even have to sign your name unless you want to. God will know and understand.
Each week the box will be emptied and the requests shared with members of the prayer team, who will then pray for that individual. Your privacy will be strictly maintained even if you sign your name, and yet you will know that eight people are praying with you. We believe this is one more way for the family of God to lift up and care for each other.
New Opportunity!
In recent weeks, several of our elderly members have been under the weather and have found themselves in need of a little extra help. If you are sometimes available to take someone to the doctor, pick up a few groceries, go by the Post Office and pick up mail, or do other small errands, just sign the list in the office with your name, phone number, and times when you are available.
Don’t worry if we call and you have to say no because of your own responsibilities. With several people involved we should always be able to find at least one who can meet a need.
